I moved to Norway in 2011 to study. To be honest, I didn't choose Norway passionately, it's more like Norway chose me (that story deserves its own post someday). But I stayed: finished the degree, built a career, made a life. Some of it went to plan. Other things happened instead, including the one nobody plans for: breast cancer at 37, diagnosed in spring 2024, treated the Norwegian way, documented here chapter by chapter in My unexpected journey.
This blog is about life in Norway as it's actually lived, not as it looks in tourism ads or relocation brochures. The real costs, the real systems, the real winters, and what happens when life throws you something heavy in a country that is not the one you grew up in.
